1. What is JENESYS?
JENESYS, announced by Shinzo Abe in 2007, is a short visit program initiated by Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs of Republic of Indonesia and the government of Japan. For 5 years since it was announced, the participants of JENESYS only consist of high school students from Asia and Oceania. In 2013, JENESYS 2.0 was announced and the participants consist of Asian and Oceanian youths at the age range of 18-30. The theme of JENESYS 2.0 was 'ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)' aimed to increase the awareness and the contribution of youths in AEC.

300 participants are consist of Indonesian youth from 34 provinces in Indonesia, Oceanian youths, and Japanese youths.
3. When and how long does the program run for?
The program runs for about 9 days, usually on the month of July or August each year.

4. What do participants do?
All participants will arrive in Tokyo and follow several programs. After Tokyo, participants will be divided into 12 groups (30 participants for each group) and visit different cities in Japan.

- Place: Several cities in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, etc.)

4. What do participants do?
All participants will arrive in Tokyo and follow several programs. After Tokyo, participants will be divided into 12 groups (30 participants for each group) and visit different cities in Japan.
- Lecture by ASEAN General Secterary
- Discussion about ASEAN regional issues
- Courtesy call : visiting several government institutions
- Civic tour: visiting several historical places and tourism objects
- Introductory of ASEAN - Japan Trade Relations at Port of Nagoya
- Introductory of Japan industrial system at several small and medium enterprises, such as TEKNIA, Toyota Museum, etc.
- University visit
- Cultural performances and cultural exchange
- Home visit
- Presentation of discussion results and ideas at the end of the program
